Published on 20 August 2026 at 12:59

If you are planning a family holiday in northern Mallorca, Hidropark Alcúdia offers an enjoyable alternative to another day at the beach. It is the only water park in the north of the island, combining exciting slides with wave pools, children’s splash areas, restaurants and places to relax.

This guide covers its location, 2026 opening times and admission prices, transport options, facilities, the best time to visit and the essential dos and don’ts.

Where is Hidropark Alcúdia?

Hidropark is located in Port d’Alcúdia, on Mallorca’s attractive northern coast. Its official address is:

Hidropark Alcúdia
Avinguda del Tucà, s/n
07400 Port d’Alcúdia
Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain

The park is close to the tourist accommodation, restaurants and beaches of Port d’Alcúdia. It is particularly convenient for visitors staying in:

  • Port d’Alcúdia
  • Alcúdia Old Town
  • Playa de Alcúdia

The park describes itself as the only water park in northern Mallorca. Its location makes it a practical choice for families who do not want to travel across the island to the larger water parks near Palma or Magaluf. Official Hidropark website

Getting to Hidropark locally

Walking

Visitors staying in Port d’Alcúdia or the surrounding hotel district may be able to walk to the park. Depending on the hotel, the journey commonly takes approximately 15–30 minutes.

Walking is convenient in the morning, but remember that the return journey may feel longer after a full day in the sun. Take water, wear sun protection and use pedestrian routes rather than walking along busy roads.

By taxi

A taxi is usually the easiest option for families carrying towels, swimwear, pushchairs and children’s equipment. Taxis are readily available in Port d’Alcúdia and nearby resorts, although demand can be high at opening and closing times during July and August.

Ask the driver for “Hidropark, Avinguda del Tucà, Port d’Alcúdia.”

By public bus

Mallorca’s TIB bus network connects Port d’Alcúdia with Alcúdia, Port de Pollença, Playa de Muro, Can Picafort, Palma and other parts of the island. Routes serving the Alcúdia area include services such as 302, 315, 322 and 324, although the most suitable service depends on your starting point.

The Av. Tucà stop is within walking distance of the park. Services, routes and seasonal frequencies can change, so check the official journey planner before departure. TIB routes and timetables

By rental car

Enter Hidropark Alcúdia or Avinguda del Tucà, Port d’Alcúdia into your navigation system.

The park has private parking. According to its current FAQ, parking costs €5 per vehicle during July and August. Confirm arrangements for other months directly with the park.

A rental car is especially useful for visitors staying in villas, rural accommodation or resorts without a direct bus connection.

Getting there from outside Mallorca

Flying to Mallorca

International travellers normally arrive at Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), Mallorca’s principal airport. It receives direct flights from numerous European cities, particularly during the spring and summer season.

From Palma Airport, the main options are:

  • Private airport transfer: A convenient door-to-door choice for families and groups.
  • Rental car: Port d’Alcúdia is roughly 60 kilometres from the airport, with a typical drive of approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Taxi: The simplest direct option, although generally more expensive than a bus or shared transfer.
  • Airport bus: TIB’s A33 connects Palma Airport with Port d’Alcúdia. After reaching the resort, continue to the park by taxi, local bus or on foot. Check the current timetable before travelling. Official TIB airport service information

Visitors flying from outside Europe may connect through airports such as Madrid, Barcelona, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Paris.

Arriving by ferry

Mallorca can also be reached by ferry from mainland Spain, including Barcelona, Valencia and Dénia. Some services arrive in Palma, while selected routes use the Port of Alcúdia. Ferry schedules vary seasonally.

From Palma’s port, continue by rental car, transfer or bus. From the Port of Alcúdia, Hidropark is only a short local taxi ride away.

  • Bottled water is permitted, provided the container is not made of glass.

When is the best time to visit?

The ideal period depends on whether your priority is warmer weather, smaller crowds or longer opening hours.

Best months for fewer crowds

April, May, September and October are generally better for visitors hoping to avoid peak-season crowds. However, the pools are not heated, and cooler or windy days may make swimming less comfortable—especially for small children.

Late May and September often offer an appealing compromise between pleasant weather and lower visitor numbers.

Best months for heat and longer hours

July and August provide the hottest weather and the longest opening day, from 10:00 to 18:00. They are also the busiest months, so expect more demand for slides, loungers, food outlets, taxis and parking.

Best days and times

For the most efficient visit:

  • Choose a weekday when possible.
  • Arrive 15–30 minutes before opening.
  • Complete the most popular slides early.
  • Take a lunch or rest break during the strongest midday sun.
  • Return to the attractions later in the afternoon, when some families begin leaving.

Avoid arriving shortly after lunchtime if your main objective is to experience as many slides as possible. You will have paid the full admission price but will have significantly less time in the park.

What to bring

A well-prepared day bag should include:

  • Swimwear
  • Technical-fabric rash vest, if required
  • High-factor, water-resistant sunscreen
  • Sun hat and sunglasses for time outside the pools
  • Towels
  • Non-slip sandals or pool shoes
  • A refillable non-glass water bottle
  • Waterproof phone pouch
  • Small bag for wet clothing
  • Necessary medicines
  • Proof of age or residency when claiming a discounted rate
  • Digital admission tickets
  • A pushchair or children’s flotation sleeves when needed

Consider using a locker for phones, passports, money and other valuables.

Dos and don’ts at Hidropark

Do

  • Follow lifeguards’ instructions immediately.
  • Read the restrictions displayed at every attraction.
  • Supervise children continuously, including in shallow areas.
  • Arrange a family meeting point in case anyone becomes separated.
  • Apply sunscreen before entering and reapply it throughout the day.
  • Drink water regularly.
  • Wear appropriate swimwear.
  • Use only technical-fabric shirts in pools and attractions.
  • Store valuables in a locker.
  • Use designated smoking areas only.
  • Contact reception if a visitor requires disability assistance.
  • Check the weather forecast, opening calendar and attraction notices before travelling.
  • Keep your ticket or wristband available if leaving and re-entering.

Don’t

  • Do not bring glass bottles or containers.
  • Do not bring rigid or oversized coolers.
  • Do not bring beach chairs, umbrellas or similar bulky equipment.
  • Do not bring large inflatable floats; small flotation sleeves are allowed.
  • Do not wear ordinary cotton T-shirts in the pools or on attractions.
  • Do not move rented sun loungers away from their designated areas.
  • Do not ignore height restrictions, even if a child is a confident swimmer.
  • Do not run on wet surfaces.
  • Do not dive unless a designated area expressly permits it.
  • Do not leave young children unattended.
  • Do not smoke on restaurant terraces or in general public areas.
  • Do not assume bad weather automatically qualifies you for a refund.

Normal rain, wind or high temperatures do not normally entitle ticket holders to a refund if the park remains open. Customer-requested cancellations may be eligible for a refund or voucher when made at least 72 hours before the booked visit. Date changes can generally be requested until the day before, subject to availability. Review the conditions before buying. Hidropark cancellation and weather policy

Is Hidropark Alcúdia worth visiting?

Hidropark is particularly well suited to families staying in northern Mallorca. It is more compact than some major European water parks, but its mix of thrill slides, racing attractions, wave pool and dedicated children’s areas makes it easy for different generations to enjoy the same day out.

It is a particularly good choice when:

  • You are staying in Alcúdia or another northern resort.
  • Your children want a break from the beach.
  • Your group includes both young children and older thrill-seekers.
  • You want an activity that can occupy most of the day.
  • You prefer a nearby attraction instead of travelling to southern Mallorca.

Book online where possible, arrive at opening time and budget separately for food, lockers, loungers, parking and any optional Fast Pass.
